During the plan review, it was determined that the building components required seismic bracing due to its classification as an occupancy category IV building. Due to our previous experience with component seismic bracing, the construction manager contacted E.D. Pons and Associates. Our analysis determined that seismic bracing was only required for the mechanical systems.

Structural Construction

E.D. Pons and Associates then worked with the construction manager to design and prepare construction documents that could be used by the mechanical contractors to price and install the seismic bracing. We also provided the special inspections of the bracing required by the building code.
